My sophomore year I entered a place called The Action Faction. This place has three norms:
1.Think Forward
2. Be uncomfortable
3. Take Action.
"Thinking forward" means you understand the impact of your choices which something which I have been trying to work on.There are, of course, points in which I felt as though I should have been more mindful of other peoples' reactions but I'm sure that has happened to everyone and failing is the first step to success.
"Taking Action" is a thing every person will have to face at one point in their life while simultaneously not being ready for it. Or at least that's how I feel about it. . . The act of standing out for something can scare me at points but I've noticed that if I'm truly passionate about something I'm not afraid to speak and so hopefully, in time, I'll be able to speak out more.
The last one is "being uncomfortable". Now, naturally, no one wants to be uncomfortable, especially me, but sadly being uncomfortable tends to go hand in hand with taking action. Yet, there are always times where you fully understand that you have to be uncomfortable in order to reach your goal and those are the points in which you make the most change.
